The Department of Foreign Affairs would like to clarify a news item aired on SBC on Tuesday 20th October 2020, regarding the donation of the judo uniforms to the Praslin judo clubs. The uniforms were sponsored by the Seychelles Honorary Consuls in Finland, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Malta and Sweden and was a request made to them by Ambassador Derick Ally at the Regional Honorary Consuls meeting in Budapest, Hungary last year. The Seychelles Honorary Consuls in Ghana, Mr. Kwame Acquah offered to purchase and ship the uniforms. The Department would like to thank the Honorary Consuls for their generous donation.
